Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year 11 Times
Named Las Vegas Entertainer of the year 11 times connectively. Danny Gans delighted audiences with his amazing impressions, dancing and performing. But Danny was also an accomplished singer. His new CD “Get Ready” showcases Danny’s wonderful talent and range.

I was fortunate enough to see Danny 4 years ago at the Mirage. The man who “auditioned” Danny in front of a live audience, impromtu many years ago, was in our audience that evening. I do not recall his name, but he was introduced by Danny. He then stood up and addressed the audience…referring to Danny as the “greatest entertainer in the world”. Hmmm. Okay. The show was awesome to say the very least. Thank you for carrying on as a family with your own identities, while honoring the memory and living rememberance of Danny Gans.
What a performer what a loss. Very talented and is an example for every entertainer to work hard and be the very best they can be.
He was………
To me Danny was the best,I work as a singer impressionist myself and Danny was a huge inspiration and key to my own success.I remember the day I seen him at the Rio in Las Vegas, it was the highlight of my trip.It also changed my life forever.
The day of Dannys passing I cried as if I lost a family member.
Best wishes to the family.
I saw Danny perform back in 2006 at the Mirage while attending a DJ convention in Vegas. Danny was the greatest (right there with Elvis) and will be missed! Please keep this website going and adding more videos!!! Thanks and God bless the Gans family!
Lee Liberace, Elvis Presley, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Perry Como, Wayne Newton, Dean Martin, Englebert Humperdinck, Siegfried and Roy and their tigers, Danny Gans, these performers represent the inimitable reflection of Las Vegas itself. You don’t truly appreciate what is there until it is gone and you cannot experience it again.
It will be one year ago, this Easter, that I will have had the pleasure of hearing an “alive” and happy story about Danny. I am best friends with his sister, Peggy Gans. I cannot think of a time, within our daily conversations, that his name does not come up. She misses him emmensely and still speaks of him as if he is right there with her. Their talks of Bon-Jovi, his work ideas and when he could not speak to rest his voice for the show, their text messages. I will never forget being asked to go back stage for my birthday as a surprise from Peggy, to actually meet Danny. I remember his hugh smile, his hug and telling me he felt he already knew me from his conversations with Peg. He asked my favorite part of the show and I immediately said when he did “Phanthom of the Opera” long ago. He smiled and asked me to give Peggy the original cut of his new CD as he valued her imput before it’s release. Needless to say, he did “Phanthom” for me and I cried my eyes out!! I love hearing the stories of Danny from Peggy, and love remembering my own. To this day, I can walk into Peggy’s house and see her memoralizing of Danny with wall to wall pictures of Danny and his celebrity guess from the show. She can tell me who, when and where as these pictures were all signed with notes from Danny like, “We made it, Peg” or I love you Peg, from your little brother, etc. I listen and can feel her loss. She tells me, “I didn’t loose Danny Gans the entertainer, I lost my brother. People just don’t understand that”.
Played ball with Danny in college. Danny always had us laughing in the clubhouse, in the cafeteria, or wherever he had the chance to do some of his impressions. Saw him many times in Vegas and never anything less than great. Met with Danny backstage 2 years ago and will cherish our last meeting. I’ve been to Vegas twice since his passing and it just isn’t the same. Best wishes to his family.
Danny Gans was an huge inspiration to me. I have been doing singing and celebrity impressions since I was five years old and after seeing Danny perform a few years ago at the Mirage, and blow away the audience, I finally decided to turn professional and share my talent with people too.
I have seen all the great impressionists and Danny was the greatest showman of them all. His tributes to the legendary singers and movie stars did them proud. There will never be another like him.
God Bless you and your family, Danny.
I have been a reader for a long while, but this is my first time as a commenter. I just wanted to say that this has been / is my favorite post of yours! Keep up the great work and I’ll keep on checking back.
I opened the website this morning and as I watched your beloved Danny perform I started to cry…..what a terrable loss for everyone. He had such a gift and I am so grateful that you created this website so that his fans can enjoy his talents even though he is not with us on this earth anymore. Thank you for keeping us with us
I was fortunate enough to see Danny and his one-of-a-kind show at the Stratosphere in his first year in Las Vegas. I can not tell you how impressed I was…I became an instant fan.
I revelled in following his great career and watched Danny Gans evolve into the legend that he truly deserved to become.
As a frequent visitor to Las Vegas, I was able to see Danny many times at both the Rio & at the Mirage, as I was counted on by many different groups of friends to be their tour guide on their first-time trips. I can honestly say that Danny’s show was without fail the highlight of our week.
Sadly, I saw him for the last time at the Encore on the Friday night before his passing (our group sat just a few rows in front of Steve Wynn). I am thankful that we were able to see him and it is a night that I will cherish forever.
Danny was a wonderful person & a gifted entertainer. The positive impact that he has made to his wonderful family, his friends, his community, his charities and to his many fans is immeasurable.
Thank-you Danny…you have truly achieved immortality through the many thoughts & memories of those that you have influenced.
I am blessed to be one of those people.
This is a great tribute to a most talented
person. I did not know Danny personally,
but my wife and I was fortunate to see
his great show in Memphis at our Sam’s
Club year beginning meeting. Danny left
my wife and myself astounded by his great talent and will always be a fond memory in our lives. Thank you Danny and we miss your love of life and interpetation of life.
We saw Danny for the first time about 5 years ago and again in Feb 2009 and we are so glad we did.
Best show in Vegas by a longshot. We were sadded when we heard of Danny’s passing and will miss him and his voices. Danny’s talents were a gift to all of us

After watching some of those clips I have tears in my eyes as I am typing this. Man, I miss him. Vegas will never be the same.
I have known Danny since High School and he always invited me back stage before his show when ever I was in Vegas to see him.
He is one of a kind – his family is amazing – he touched so many lives and did so much for everyone – his memory will live within us for the rest of our lives.
All I know is that if I have a friend like Danny to greet me on the other side of the veil then I won’t mind going when it’s my time to go.
Julie, Amy, Andrew and Emily – I think of you often and can’t wait until we can order that ‘Get Ready’ CD. You guys Rock and Thanks for this web-site!
Unbelievable talent…My wife and I saw Danny at all of his Las Vegas venues probably at least 15 times. I never left a show without complete amazement at his talents. We recommended his show to everyone we knew and everytime we got the same response “thanks that was unbelievable!” I am in Vegas often and have had several people ask what is the best show and that used to be the easiest question of all…he will be greatly missed!!!
I was very sad to hear of Danny’s passing. Thankfully I did see him in 2001 at the Mirage, and was looking forward to see him many more times in the future, as Danny helped me love Vegas all the more, and I knew each DG show would be different . And a request; could you put the “Phantom” video clip on the site? I get chills every time I see it, but now there are some tears too. Love ya, Danny-we’ll all meet again.
We are renovationg our home and I was going through some boxes of memories and found the Danny Ganns program we kept from our trip to Vegas in 2007. It instantly put a smile on my face. We only saw Danny perform once but he left an everlasting impression and will always put that smile on our faces when we think of him and his amazing talent.
My son, Mike Carey, was Danny’s roommate in Victoria when they played baseball for the Dodgers minor league team, the Victoria Mussels, in 1978. We were at the game when Danny suffered the achilles injury that ended his baseball career.
Mike usually played first-base, but that night the coach moved Danny from his usual position at third, over to first, and DH’d Mike, so that they could look at a new third-base man that they were thinking of signing.
My wife Mary, went in the aid car to the hospital and told Danny that this was an opportunity God gave him to work on his ‘routines’. A man in Danny’s room at the Bellingham Hospital told him the same thing.
Danny entertained us and all of his team mates with his improvisations and even then at 21 years, we recognized his “God-given” talents.
We miss him!
God Bless Danny and his beautiful family.
What a wonderful site… just got the news that it was up. Danny was such an incredible human being — what a wonderful legacy he leaves… outstanding talent, outstanding family, outstanding memories, outstanding Christian… heaven will be a more wonderful place because of Danny!
I have been enjoying Danny’s shows since his Stratosphere days. In 2008, we relocated to Vegas for one year, during which time myself, my wife, and my two oldest kids say Danny’s show an average of once each week. One month after we moved back to Oregon, Danny went to sleep and never woke up. It was a black day for all of us.
Hardly a day goes by that we are not reminded of Danny when we see celebrities or hear songs that Danny imatated so flawlessly.
We were only fans, but we will miss him always.
This is what we fans have been waiting for! So great! Does anyone want to blog about Danny Gans great talent?
