The fifth annual Danny Gans Run for Children’s Charities and Champions Run for Life will be held Saturday, October 20th 2007, at Boca Park in Summerlin. The Run is a collaborative partnership with the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (www.nvccf.org), the Lili Claire Foundation (www.liliclairefoundation.org), and the Make A Wish Foundation (www.wish.org). Together, the three Foundations will raise money to benefit the children of our community as well as children around the world. It will be another extraordinary event this year. The Annual Danny Gans Partee Fore Kids Golf Tournament which will be held October 28 and 29, 2007 at Anthem Country Club. The tournament benefits The First Tee of Southern Nevada, and the Danny Gans Junior Golf Academy, the leading youth golf organization which enriches lives and develops better citizens, ensures that participants learn the fundamentals of golf and its inherent values by providing accessible, affordable golf experiences, including the life skills curriculum-based “Golf Fore Kids” Development Program, the “SNJGA Tour” Competitive Tournament Program for Higher Education.
Danny Gans performs a charity every year to benefit the funding of his Danny Gans Junior Golf Academy, where kids ages 6 – 17 learn to play golf for $10. On February 15, 2008, Danny will perform a “Concert of Love” to benefit Opportunity Village. Danny’s concerts have raised over $200,000. Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities by providing them with vocational training, employment and social recreation services that make their lives more productive and interesting. Through Opportunity Village’s programs and services, hundred of people with disabilities are learning vocational skills and being places in jobs throughout the community. The Lili Claire Foundation was established to inspire a new awareness of Williams Syndrome and other neurogenetic disorders and to enhance the lives of children living with neurogenetic birth defects.
