An Unforgettable Night With Danny Gans

Showbiz Magazine
By Hilary L. Green

Singer-impressionist Danny Gans stars in the theater that bears his name at the Mirage. He has taken the entertainment scene by storm with his astonishing repertoire of more than 300, on-the-money characterizations of some of the world’s best-known celebrities. Audiences are mesmerized by Gans’ remarkable ability to replicate even the most subtle gesture and nuance in his exciting, non-stop performance, which has garnered nationwide critical review.

Gans is a one-man entertainment phenomenon. He is being hailed as one of the finest in the business today and his show is one of the hottest tickets in town. He plays to consistently packed houses in the gorgeous, $15-million theater that was custom-built for him. All of the seats are within 75-feet of the stage with uninterrupted views of the stage, and the state-of-the-art sound system envelops the room with beautifully modulated, crystal-clear sound.

Gans’ family-friendly show in its exquisite, intimate environment is a marvelous journey filled with superb music, packed with laughter and seasoned with a hint of drama. Blessed with a magnificent singing voice, Gans delivers anywhere between 60 and 100, dead-on impressions set to hilarious lyrics, back-to-back without missing a beat. He keeps the audience in stitches with characterizations of stars such as Garth Brooks singing about food; Dean Martin accepting the challenge to “Drink Canada Dry”; Tony Bennett forgetting the lyrics to his famous song; Andy Williams singing about when Joan Rivers “mooned” him and Jeff Foxworthy musing about being a redneck “if you’ve been accused of lying through your tooth!” Gans changes the show to suit the audience, so you never know who’ll pop in. You may see David Bowie, Andy Kaufman, Billy Joel, Ricky Martin, Paul Anka, William Shatner or Ed Sullivan. Creed may sing a song, too, and you may hear from Macy Gray or U2.

Don’t miss Gans’ extraordinary show. It will be an unforgettable evening of entertainment.
