Danny Gans Shines At The Mirage

Showbiz Magazine
By Hilary L. Green

Everyone’s talking about singer-impressionist Danny Gans, who stars in the theater that bears his name at the Mirage. The award-winning star was recently featured in People Magazine, which said, “Danny Gans revives the age of impressionism in Las Vegas.” This notable mention is one of numerous national stories about the talented performer known as “The Man of Many Voices.” Variety called Gans “The Cirque du Soleil of voice” and famed Los Angeles Times writer James Bacon declared the entertainer as “Brilliant!” Gans is a favorite among his peers, too, garnering acclaims such as “Incredible” from Joan Rivers, “No one has ever done a better impression of my dad” from Natalie Cole and Bill Cosby’s prediction that Gans is “the next Sammy Davis, Jr.”

It was when Gans saw Davis perform live, that the young entertainer knew what he wanted to do. He had spent many years traveling on the road singing with bands, doing stand-up comedy and honing his famous repertoire of impressions. When he saw Davis, all of the pieces fit together.

“He sang, danced, did impressions and played instruments,” Gans recalls. “He was funny and he was dramatic. That’s when I said to myself ‘this is what I am going to do’.”

Gans paid his dues by perfecting his craft for more than 16 years. Along the way, he performed his own one-man show on Broadway, acted in hit television shows such as “Roseanne”, “Full House” and “Married With Children”, and made his motion picture debut in Bull Durham, alongside actors such as Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins.

He brings his multi-faceted experience to the stage in his dynamic show, which is one of the hottest tickets in town. It’s a magic carpet ride filled with lots of laughter, wonderful music and a hint of drama. Be sure to take the entire family to see the entertainer everyone is talking about. Danny Gans. It will be an evening that you will long remember.
